Overview

We recently completed one of our most rewarding projects to date: a full-site connectivity transformation for a rural holiday destination. This milestone installation represents a major step forward in how AH Media Solutions brings high-speed internet to even the most remote locations.

The Challenge

The site faced a significant connectivity challenge with unstable speeds, inconsistent coverage, and a poor guest experience caused by unreliable internet. With connection stability sitting at just 35%, guests struggled to stay connected, and the site’s operations were limited by its lack of reliable infrastructure.

Our Approach

We started by installing Starlink, immediately transforming the site’s performance. The upgrade alone boosted speeds by 55% and improved uptime to an incredible 99.98%, delivering speeds of up to 300Mbps even in this remote setting.

But we didn’t stop there.

Using a combination of AirMax point-to-point technology and high-performance UniFi device bridging, we extended that high-speed connection across the entire site. This ensured consistent, reliable coverage from every corner including:

• All five luxury lodges

• The full caravan park

Each area now enjoys speeds of 200Mbps+, bringing enterprise-grade connectivity to a location once considered a digital blackspot.
